Festivals: Apple days, jazz, folk, Bestival, Cowes week, harvest, Christmas.  Every event needs a storyteller to bring some tales to one and all.

Fundraising Evenings: Why not raise money for a good cause by having an evening of storytelling with a meal part way through? It could be something as simple as bangers and mash or lasagne or chilli.  Have a raffle and donate the profits to the charity of your choice.

Gallery Openings, Shop Openings, and Special Events: Mark that special event with a story or ten!

Supermarket Queues:  Does your supermarket need something to entertain and enhance the shopping experience?  1 to 5 minute stories to entertain every queue.

Maybe you have a special event coming up:  Scroll down to see some suggestions below of the occasions when I can bring stories to your family, community and friends:

There are stories for every occasion and I can tailor a set of stories to suit your needs.  I  have a number of sets of stories  ready to go, as follows:

Wolf Tales, Jack's Bag of Tricks, Seaside Story Walk, A Box of Chocolate Truffles, Victorian Tales, Myths & Legends of the Isle of Wight, Tales to Chill the Heart, In the Beginning.

There is a link to the Sets of Stories page here but you can also choose an a la carte menu by discussing your needs with me.

Book Weeks:  Does your child or school have a book week?  Why not suggest having a storyteller to bring your book week alive with tales from various genres each designed to suit different classes and themes.

Christenings:  Stories tailored to suit the needs of the guests.

Family Gatherings:  Lots of generations together?  Not sure how to keep everyone happy?  You need a storyteller to get things going and soon everyone will have a story to tell!

Residential Home:  Buy a birthday present with a difference.  Pay for a storyteller to spend an hour entertaining all the residents.

Kamishibai:  Coming soon, storytelling from the back of a bicycle.  Great for outdoor events.

Workshops encourage people to find their voice.  There is a storyteller inside us all. With a combination of partner and group work everyone will be introduced to some simple storytelling techniques.  For up to 30 participants.  This is suitable for families, teachers, teaching assistants, KS2 and KS3 children.  Please contact me for a more in depth profile of workshops.

Assemblies:  Ring the changes and have a storyteller:  Aesop's fables, Bible stories, tales from India and Africa, modern myths and legends.  They all have a place.

Birthday Parties: A birthday party includes games, stories and songs chosen to fit the age and interest of the birthday person, whether they be 3 or 83. Or why not have a storywalk birthday?  (See above)  They are great for more active children.

Weddings:  Entertaining for children and adults alike.  Either a story for everybody or stories in a quiet corner for those who need a bit of time and space.

Storywalks: Going for a walk with the children is never a linear matter of moving from A to B. Given the chance to indulge their natural curiosity, children will explore wherever they happen to be. They will find lots of treasures, make dens, run, jump, climb, dawdle and want plenty of rests.

A storywalk combines the best of being outside exploring, with breaks to catch your breath and listen to a tale.  Walks include wolf tales,  troll stroll and salty seaside tales  You will never look at the tide line in the same way, after you have been on a Seaside Story walk. Before they realise it, the children have walked a

mile, had a good dose of fresh air, fed their imaginations and used up lots of energy.  Listen to a tale that will change how you see the flotsam washed up on the beach.
