Sue has been involved in organising a storytelling festival with the Island Storytellers Group.

There is a mixture of performances:

Workshops.

and a storytelling competition.

Most of the events are at the Riverside Centre in Newport and many are suitable for all over age 6.

A weekend family ticket costs £18 for 2 adults and up to 4 children.  This gives access to all events at the Riverside Centre but does not include the meal on Friday nor the Wightlink ferry crossing on the Saturday.

Individual events are £5 for adults and £3 per child.

Please email Sue for a programme.

Sand Poem on the beach

between Sandown and Shanklin

As part of the ‘Ferry Tales’ storytelling festival some of us are writing the first two lines of Tennyson’s poem ‘Crossing the Bar’ in giant words on the beach between Sandown and Shanklin.

It is said that Tennyson wrote it on the ferry crossing to the Island in 1889.

Come and join us!

Please let Sue know you are coming and bring a garden fork.
