Your event
What do you need?
Whether it is half an hour or an hour of tales to support a school topic, or interactive stories that evolve with audience input, there are many different ways that storytelling can add something extra
- Fund raising supper interspersed with stories
- Story walks – in the woods, by the sea, through the town,
- Something to keep the children entertained while adults chat/ shop/ work
- An informal way to communicate local history
After you have contacted me to discuss your needs I will put together a proposal to ensure that I match your requirements. I will send out a contract to clarify details and follow this with an invoice.
What might you expect?
A 90 minute performance – in two halves, might contain:
Storytelling on a theme with a smattering of audience involvement. Includes stories, music and song performed in conjunction with singer song writer, Cheryl Shepard.
A one hour story session will give you:
An atmosphere that is slightly less formal than a performance. Stories may be chosen in conjunction with the event organiser. There will probably be between 5 to 8 tales taken from a variety of sources – some adapted from traditional tales, some modern and some created with the help of the audience.
OR
A story walk- maybe through woods or along the seashore, during which there are plenty of stops to find interesting artefacts to weave into stories. Physically, the distance covered may not be far – but the tales can transport the imagination around the world and through time.
Half an hour will give you:
Up to five stories on a variety of themes chosen to suit your requirements. Great for assemblies, festivals, libraries, fetes…..
