National Storytelling Week 29th Jan - 4th Feb

Enchanting stories at Cowes Library 2.30-3pm Saturday 4th February 2012

Come and listen to some magical tales as part of National Library Day and to round off National Storyteling Week. Aimed at 4- 8 year olds but suitable for anyone who likes a story, too!

Seaside Story Walk

2pm Sunday 6th May 2012 East Cowes

Meet at the paddling pool on East Cowes Sea front at 2pm on Sunday 6th May. From there we go onto

the shingly beach, just north of the park.

If your children like fossicking about finding beach treasure and they like stories, then this is the ideal walk for them. We have a mixture of stories interspersed with forays to look for limpets, we try to find a crab, spot anemones or find nice bits of seaglass. It is a popular walk but I tend to limit the

numbers so that everybody can hear. We don't walk very far but it is amazing what we find!

Don't forget to wear suitable beach shoes.

Battery to beach and back again

- a family story walk

Friday 18th May 2012 4pm Battery Rd,Cowes

Meet at the junction of Battery Rd and Baring Rd, Cowes (PO31 8DP) to join us for this family story walk. We will wend our way down through a little known copse which comes out on the promenade and beach in between Cowes and Gurnard. It is quite steep and can be muddy so come prepared. Wear wellies if it has been raining recently. We will have plenty of stops both among the trees and on the beach for some woodland tales, beach blather and maybe a song or two.

These storywalks are quite popular but I tend to limit the numbers so everyone can hear. Make sure of your place: Contact Sue to book.
